Hi everyone,
Hope you're doing well...I'm doing well myself. Wanna say thanks to
those of you who made it out to the headlining tour this past
summer. We had a great time touring around the United States (and
Canada!!) with some of our closest friends playing shows with us
along the way. Its finally nice to be off of the road for awhile and
I think the tour was pretty much the best way to wrap up what has
really been an exciting and long couple of years making and
supporting Dog Problems.

Although it's a little sad to shift gears, its fantastic to be home
and to really start working on a new record. People have asked a lot
of different questions regarding the new songs and how they're
coming about but at this point its really hard to say..Sam and I
have about five songs that are in their most incumbent stage and we
hope to take the next few months and write about ten more and start
the new year recording the record that I have tentatively titled
①"Holy Ghosts". There is nothing I am more excited about right now.
And although we still have so much work left, the songs we have
written thus far have kept me awake at night. That's all the news I
have right now about that, maybe we will play a few of the songs at
a few of the acoustic shows we have scattered throughout the next
few months. Be sure to peep our tour dates and see if Sam and I will
be playing acoustic at your college or a college near you. And
please don't be shocked if we aren't "rocking out" as it is an
acoustic set. Moving on to some business jargon....

②The DVD is done. Looks bitchin. And is all set for release on
November 17th. Honestly we are all in love with the job director Sam
Ericson did capturing what was a very nostalgic show at the Mayan
Theatre in Los Angeles. Please pick it up asap. I don't think you
will be let down. The trailer is on our myspace now.

Also being released a few days later is ③a rarities and b-sides
record that should be up for sale for a very low price of 7.99 on
iTunes, etc. I saw a list of the songs Sam and co. put together and
some of it I don't remember writing or recording, so it should be
pretty fun. And if you're actually one of the few and proud who are
still into the beauty of packaging then you might wanna purchase the
hard copy on the formatmerch.com because I hear its supposed to be
sweet. Details will be floating around about that soon.

That's about it for now. I will leave suggesting that all of you
purchase our dear friend ④Mike Birbiglia's record that was just
released today. Go to your local Ma and Pa store, or iTunes to pick
it up. Of course its hilarious (you would know if you saw him with
us this summer) and I had the honor of stopping by the Sirius
studios in New York yesterday and joining his on air release party
that you can listen to today on Sirius at 2pm or something very
close. If you don't wanna hear me tell bad jokes then you can just
watch Mike tonight on Conan. I'll be doing the same thing myself.
